Mallika Mehta has been singing for over 10 years now but professionally since the last three years.
In 2015, selected by the Voice Academy, NYC and undertook training and recorded songs with them.
She has recorded over 30-35 cover songs in 2015-16 view them on her Youtube channel.
In April 2016 – 1st maiden concert called “Rhythm” at the Y. B. Chavan, Mumbai. She performed 51 songs in medley style in FOUR languages in front of a packed auditorium of 600 music lovers. Concert was for 2 ½ hours.
In June 2016, she was the primary opening act at Kailash Kher for his concert “Kailasa” held in Navi Mumbai at the Cidco Exhibition Centre – audience of 6000+ people.
On 2016, Mallika was awarded a scholarship for summer program at Berklee College of Music, Boston. Berklee is rated 2nd in Music in the world by the “The Hollywood Reporter”. It is the Ivy League in Music Colleges. Its world famous alumni include Sadao Watanbe, Quincy Jones, Chaka Khan, Park Bon, Aimee Mann, Diana Krall, John Schofield, Sofia Boutella. She performed in various open mic’s, choruses, events, concerts and ensembles whilst there.
At Berklee in 2016, she was one of the select few of the 1,100 students permitted to record a song of her choice in Berklee’s state of the art recording studios. She jammed with fellow musicians from countries involving China, Japan, Barbados, Taiwan, Denmark, France, Mexico, Philippines, Malaysia and USA.
Jamsphere Magazine (USA) in it’s December 2016 issue featured her “War Solo” as “War Solo” is crisp, poignant and vulnerable!
She appeared on the Back Cover of the Tunedloud Magazine in the February 2017 issue with a two page spread as the Spotlight Artist.
In March 2017 WELAB Magazine (USA) featured and Twitted her as “THE NEXT ADELE FROM MUMBAI- MALLIKA MEHTA” with her interview in the same.
She has the voice of Adele, Asha Bhosle, Usha Utthup, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal. Just take time out and listen to her!!
